It’s actually very easy to fall in love with Alberta, Canada. One look at the Rockies and you’ll get weak in the knees! It’s taken me a while to explore the country that I, well used to live in, and I can say that it has blown me away!
This past trip with my dad was beyond exciting. We had the wildlife gods on our side. We saw numerous black bears, grizzlies and cubs, moose, elk, big horn sheep and eagles. It was absolutely incredible and being one the highlights of the trip.
With that said, the landscapes were beautiful and there was a view every where we looked. We were there beginning of June and although basically summertime the mountains had a dusting of snow that made everything just a bit more magical!
From lakes, glaciers, and the sites just off the road, I bet you can’t see these photos and not fall in love with Alberta!
Enjoy!
My trip to Alberta was the first time I ever saw a Moose. All I can say is wow! They are hard to find so when you see one, it is even more special!
Catching Bow Lake on a calm day is extra special. The reflections are stunning.
It is a total must do going up the Banff Gondola. As you can see the view into the Bow Valley is just beautiful! From the top of the Gondola (Mt Sulphur) you can see 6 different mountain ranges.
This is a roadside view. Literally! Tangle Falls is right off the road. There is even a little parking lot so you can park and walk across the road to view it safely!
Johnson Lake is one of the many beautiful bodies of water with mountain views!
Maligne Lake in Jasper was jaw dropping! Surrounded by mountains and glaciers, the views were outta this world!
Moraine Lake is my favourite lake of all! It is not hard to see why. It lies beside the valley of the ten peaks. With that stunning turquoise water I don’t know how to beat that!
And of course what is more special than seeing a grizzly with her young one!
Have you been Alberta? What part did you love the most?
Save this!
