Nestled on the north shore of Falcon Lake, surrounded by tall Jack Pines and the sound of birds singing away are the cozy cabins of Falcon Trails Resort. The beautiful pine cabins look out onto the water and Canadian wildlife of squirrels and deer wander making you feel as if you’ve stepped into a scene from Snow White. It is calm, peaceful and relaxing.
The Cabin
I had the pleasure of staying in the White Pine cabin with my mom for two nights. The quaint cabin had absolutely everything we needed. The living room was very inviting with a fire place that I cannot wait to visit again and get going in winter time. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the cooking supplies we needed, we just needed to bring our food. There was one queen bed downstairs and the high vaulted ceilings led to the loft with one single and one queen bed giving us the ultimate cabin feel. The cabin opened to a lovely screened in porch with a private hot tub and a deck perfect for barbecuing in the heat of the summer.
One of the things I loved the most was our pathway down to a fire pit area and a few steps further to a private dock. I could go kayaking whenever I wanted or just sit and relax right on the water.
The property
The resort is family owned and from the minute of check in to check out the atmosphere was friendly, open and easy going. There was an outdoor sauna, firewood for the stove or outside and complimentary canoes to use.
Falcon Trails is only about a 12 minute drive from the town of Falcon Lake, Manitoba. It has a grocery store, a few restaurants and bakery and also some fun activities including mini golf and tennis. The beach campground is there and the main beach as well. Despite the short drive into town, I didn’t feel the need to leave the end of the lake at all. There were hiking and biking trails right from the cabin. You could take a day walk to the neighboring High Lake as well.
I loved everything about this resort and the White Pine cabin. My stay was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. It has made Falcon Lake feel even more special for me and this stay was certainly very memorable.
Thank you so much to Falcon Trails Resort for hosting my mom and I. My opinions are of course my own. It was a fantastic few days!

It really was! I could live there lol
How absolutely gorgeous and I’m sure being nestled amongst nature was just bliss. Love that you could just roll out of bed and go kayaking on that stunning lake! do they allow kids there? I’d love to be able to take my family for a quiet weekend.
That was my favourite part being about to walk down 2 minutes and jump on the kayak! Yea they absolutly allow children! They also allow pets 🙂

The views from here are stunning! I’m glad you also described that you had a kayaking experience. But that snake photo made me nervous lol.
